This course is concerned with the visual communication of ideas or messages, which is used to skillful effect in design for broadcast, advertising, editorials, publishing, packaging and interactive media. The course places emphasis on drawing and includes the study of typography, illustration, photography, computer-aided digital and time-based design which could feed into a variety of final outcomes from character design to packaging and branding.
