UAL Creative Practice Programme at Central Saint Martins
The UAL Creative Practice Programme offers Portfolio and Year 2 A level students the exceptional opportunity to study at Central Saint Martins (CSM) for one day each week. This in turn gives an invaluable insight and experience of the expectations of higher education study and is recognised as the first part of FAD Plus for students who successfully gain a place on the FAD Plus course.
The Creative Practice Programme is a UAL Artscom programme which offers students a diagnostic experience in preparation for application to the FAD Plus course at CSM.
Foundation Plus (FAD Plus) at Central Saint Martins
This is an intensive course of study run by CSM. ISCA students are able progress to Foundation Plus (FAD Plus) if they are offered a place after interview on the basis of the successful completion of the UAL Creative Practice Programme. Students who gain a place on FAD Plus at CSM will attain the CSM Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, long regarded as the pre-eminent foundation course in the world.
The 13-week Foundation Plus commences in early June, and offers students the valuable possibility of progressing onto a degree course at UAL, without needing to spend a full year on the traditional Foundation Diploma.
The course is unique in offering both specialist and diagnostic modes of study thereby allowing students to explore a wide range of art and design disciplines.
