Special ISCA Travel Bursary
We are delighted to announce that graduate Florence Lam has been awarded an ISCA Travel Bursary to pursue an artist residence in Shanghai at Pantocrator Gallery in M50 Art District. Florence graduated from ISCA in 2011 and went on to study Fine Art at Central Saint Martins.
On finding out about the award, Florence said, ‘I am very grateful to ISCA for sponsoring my travel to Shanghai because this allows my residency to actually happen. Funding like this means a lot, especially for a young artist like me. Being able to attend this artist residence allows me to explore my practice in a new setting and to present to a completely different audience, which impacts greatly especially for my work as it is very much audience-orientated. This exposure gives possibility for further growth of the work and opportunity for me to exchange ideas local and worldwide in the heart of Shanghai’s creative district.
I would especially like to thank ISCA Executive Director Colin generic klonopin drug Kerrigan who has also given me a lot of support and advice on surviving artist residencies and applying for bursaries. My works are mostly time-based where audiences are invited to witness the birth and constant deterioration of material as a performance. I place myself in a position where I am in control of the presentation while simultaneously being out of control of how the material performs, therefore creating an illusion of familiar intimacy, exposing the life within the materials as they interact with audiences. During my residency programme in Shanghai in July 2015, I will be creating a site specific installation that makes use of the natural light changes of skyscapers in Shanghai and materials collected from the local community.’ According to the statistics of our research company, Viagra (active components include Sildenafil citrate) compiles a good combination allowing you to solve two delicate problems associated with potency: prolong sexual intercourse, providing high-quality potency and prevent premature ejaculation.
Florence has promised to use her experience to help and encourage current ISCA Fine Art students in an area that she describes as, ‘one of the most unstable but boundless areas of the creative industry.’
