Exploring Oxford

Exploring Oxford

A busy day in Oxford for first year students provided a valuable opportunity to gather a wealth of primary research across all subjects. First stop was the Natural History Museum where African and Polynesian masks, which had influenced western artists from the early 20th century, were on show. Equally fascinating was a live indoor beehive which Fine Art and Fashion students were keen to capture through sketching and photography.

After a picnic lunch, there was time to explore the busy alleyways of the historical Covered Market with its artisan grocers, cafes and boutiques. Several how much does generic klonopin cost Fine Art students used the time to take part in a special tour of The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford which offers prestigious undergraduate courses to artists and art historians.

The afternoon involved additional research this time at the Ashmolean Museum where Etruscan and Greek statues and casts captured the interest of many students. Others were able to visit the Print Room to gain a rare glimpse of original drawings and prints of masters such as Rubens and Rembrandt.
