Welcome Back
Welcome back to a new school year at ISCA! We hope you have had an enjoyable summer and are feeling refreshed and ready to embark on plenty of exciting, creative work this coming academic year.
For returning students, it was great to see all your hard work rewarded on A-Level results day. Our congratulations goes to those students who achieved the highest grades; the aim is to build on this success in the A2 year. All second year students will make an early start on applying for higher education and be supported through the process by Mr Richard Solomon in his new role as Coordinator Curriculum Development and Progression.
We are very pleased to welcome Ms Arianwen Shoring to the ISCA team. Ms Shoring takes up the post of Head of Art & Design at ISCA, and has a wealth of experience in this area. She very much looks forward to meeting all students this week, and has planned an intensive two-week induction programme.
ISCA is committed to providing the best Art & Design can you buy klonopin online education to students, and in light of this we have been working hard over the summer to improve our studio spaces. Students now have access to a larger, updated Photomedia Centre which will facilitate photographic work and digital learning. Substantial investment has also been made in the new Learning Resource space which will primarily be the home of Critical & Contextual Studies. Students will also benefit from our investment in new technologies including laser cutting (for a range of materials), a large-scale laser printer and 3D printing. In 3D, we are extending our range of processes to include vacuum forming and enamelling. We have also implemented a new area dedicated to Academic English, as we recognise its importance in supporting Art & Design, and attaining those strong grades.
Finally, we were also delighted that departing A2 students achieved the A-Levels needed for progression to their chosen university courses, and wish them every success as the pursue their artistic education.
