Fashion Project Launch
First year students today kicked off their Deconstruct / Reconstruct fashion project with a workshop from ISCA's favourite Chanel tailor Daniel Dioguardi.
The project involved taking apart a garment and reinventing it, all the while photographing, drawing and evaluating processes.The skills this introduces to a fashion student are essential. It informs them how a garment is constructed and makes them examine closely the garment's detail. Form, silhouette, materials and function are also assessed.

The extension of this activity will be to further develop initial ideas and work back over photographs.
